Artist's Comments

Ok Christina...here is stage two, the pine frame. The centre space is recessed so that the side of the porcupine will be flush with the face of the frame...allowing for window or wall mount.

The jaggedness is very cool. Are you selling these, and if so how much?

I hadn't really thought about it as this is not the completed frame. Hmmm. I guess if you have a picture size in mind I could custom make one....wasn't hard, only took me about an hour after all the sanding was done. I guess it would also depend on what kind of wood you wanted and how big. This was left-over pine winscotting...which I still have.

Super! Now all I have to do is pull off the lettering (a little out of practise) and I will be home free. I am using a (new to me) paint to do this, so I will have to play with it a bit to get used to it's properties. Will keep you in the loop.

wow. i know how painful wood carving can be - did you have any misshaps, like a little piece breaking off and having to start again?
